The Chabahar Port Development Agreement Was Signed With India And
According to the official, „due to the expected increase in port traffic, warehouses are being built to increase the storage capacity of goods, speed up the unloading and loading of cargoes and improve standard maintenance.“ In February 2019, Afghanistan will launch a new export route to India through the port of Chabahar. At the inauguration of the new export route, officials said 23 trucks of 57 tons of dried fruit, textiles, carpets and mineral products were sent from the southwestern Afghan city of Zaranj to the Iranian port of Chabahar. The issue is shipped to Mumbai.   The sea distance to Dubai is 353 nautical miles (654 kilometers; 406 miles), Karachi in Pakistan 456 nmi (845 km; 525 miles) and Mumbai in India 843 nmi (1,560 km; 970 miles).  The China-funded deep-water port of Gwadar is also located on the Coast of Makran, just 76 nautical miles away. The Mashhad railway line in northeastern Iran to Henat in northwestern Afghanistan has four sections, two in Iran and two in Afghanistan. Inside Iran, the 14 km distance from Khaf to Sangan was completed in September 2016 and Sangan`s Saction-2 on the Iranian-Afghan border near Shamtiq (Shematigh, Shmtygh, شوآیغ) 62 km was completed in October 2017. Inside Afghanistan, the distance of 61.2 km between Shamtiq-Jono (Jonaw, Junaw) and Ghurian was completed in October 2017 and section 4 is the road from Jono to Herat with 63 km.   Herat is already connected to Turkmenistan by rail and road.  India and Afghanistan are considering extending the railway line from Herat to Mazar-i-Sharif.
 Mazar-i-Sharif is already connected to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan by rail and by road with other Central Asian countries.   The port of Chabahar is located on the Makran coast of Sistan and Balochistan province, next to the Gulf of Oman and at the mouth of the Strait of Hormus. . . .
